Moray is one of Scotlands most attractive regions blessed with breathtaking countryside, miles of scenic coastline and dotted with ancient historical attractions.

Some of the historic attractions include: Sueno's Stone, which is the largest surviving Pictish monument and dates back to the ninth century AD, Elgin Cathedral, Nelsons Tower, Kinloss Abbey, Brodie Castle, Ballindalloch Castle, Duffus Castle, Findlater Castle, Spynie Palace and the only medieval monastery in Britain that is still inhabited by monks, Pluscarden Abbey.

There are a variety of things to see & do. The famous Malt Whisky Trail is very popular and attracts many visitors each year, some of the distilleries open to the public include: Benromach & Dallas Dhu at Forres, Glen Moray at Elgin, Strathisla at Keith and the Speyside Cooperage in Craigellachie.

The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival is held each year, a 5 day event celebrating the areas Whisky Heritage, enjoy Whisky Tours, Tastings, Outdoor Activities, Food, Music and Song. The festival starts on 1st May and runs until the 5th of May.....not to be missed !

For outdoor enthusiasts there is walking, cycling and mountain bike trails, miles of coast and forests, hillwalking, horseriding, birdwatching & wildlife including the Moray Firth dolphins, sailing, canoeing, salmon fishing in the River Spey & River Findhorn, Scotland in Bloom award winning parks and gardens and some of the best coastal and inland golf courses to be found anywhere in Scotland ! ....There really is much more to Moray !


Around The Moray Region

Moray is not only a great destination but it is also makes a great base to explore many other parts of Scotland by car or rail, other close places of interest include, Cawdor Castle, Fort George, Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, Aviemore, Inverness, Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle.....watch out for the Loch Ness Monster !

Towards Aberdeen there is also a Castle Trail which is a selection of eleven of the most unique scottish castles as well as many other castles around the Grampian region including Balmoral Castle.

Whether you come for a weekend or a couple of weeks there's more than enough for you to see and do !
